About Dr. Goodman...

Dr. Terry GoodmanDr. Terry B. Goodman received his Bachelor of Arts degree with high honors from the University of New Hampshire in 1972, majoring in zoology and minoring in psychology. While there he was elected to a number of honor societies including Phi Beta Kappa, Alpha Epsilon Delta, Phi Sigma and Psi Chi. In 1971 he received an appointment in the Undergraduate Research Fellowship Program. Dr. Goodman also served as an instructor in psychology in 1972.

In 1978 Dr. Goodman received his O.D. degree, with honors, from the New England College of Optometry. He was awarded the Dexter Memorial Scholarship in 1975, 1976 and 1977. In 1975 he was elected to Beta Sigma Kappa, the Optometric Honor Society. He also served as editor of his class yearbook.

Dr. Goodman was in private practice before joining the Bellows, Goodman & Shaker Medical Eye Center in 1987.

Dr. Goodman has lectured for the New York College of Optometry and for the Elliot Hospital Medical Staff.

In 1997 Dr. Goodman was chosen to receive the Derryfield School’s Distinguished Alumni Award. In that same year he was awarded the New Hampshire Association of the Blind’s Vision of New Hampshire Award.

Dr. Goodman is a member of the American Optometric Association, The New England Council of  Optometrists, and the New Hampshire Optometric Association.

Dr. Goodman is active in the Lions Clubs International. He has served as District Governor and Council Chairman for the State of New Hampshire. He lectures around the country on a variety of topics relating to Lionism.

Dr. Goodman and his family live in Bedford, New Hampshire.
